Friday, Slowday
Today Lee wasn't there but Pat, an avid fisherman hunter, and recently engaged man was there to show me the ropes. I learned about every little detail of the job, the logs, the recording devices, the books with every address and warrant and phone number of everyone in the city. He showed me which buttons to press, what buttons to NEVER press, and he even let me speak to some of the officers over the radio. I came say with certainty that the most common phrase heard in the dispatch room is "10-4". Today was relatively laid back, which when you really think about it is a good thing, that means nothing too dangerous or concerning happened in the city, and that's what all the cops want to have happen everyday.
