Day 2 Photography

After meeting with our proctor and learning the basics about photography like aperture, shutter speed and framing, we got out into the field and started shooting. We started at the Dunham Tavern and tested our skills with our proctor. After learning a little more about framing and content, we headed into Cleveland to start shooting the locations that we felt were necessary to include in an ad campaign centered around Cleveland. Our first location was the Rock Hall and we were blessed with great weather to complete these shots. There were great clouds in the sky that helped with the contrast so we were able to get some dynamic shots. After the Rock Hall we headed to Edgewater Park to get pictures of the skyline. These turned out pretty well but were hampered by a massive crane that was blocking a lot of the buildings. After Edgewater, we headed to Public Square and took pictures around that area before heading into Tower City. Unfortunately, a lot of our effort was wasted because we weren't allowed to keep any Tower City pictures because of lease agreements with stores. Hearing this after spending time taking shots there was devastating so we treated ourselves to the sweet factory and then headed home. This day helped us to become more comfortable with our cameras including all the features that can affect the shot.
