Day 4 Photography

After hearing that our proctor couldn't meet due to family reasons, we were on our own once again to explore and photograph Cleveland. We decided that one of the best ways to get great shots of the city was to drive around and experiment with the different views and angles. After exploring the city for a while we headed to the West Side Market. We got some great pictures of the outside but were disappointed to see that it was closed for the day. We decided to head back downtown and park so we could walk around and take advantage of some of the spots that we saw while driving around earlier in the day. We really wanted to get some good photographs of E. 4th street and the area around it because of the exciting and bustling nature. We timed it so we could capture the back end of the lunch rush and show how Cleveland actually can seem busy at times. We got some great shots of that area and headed back so we could prepare for Friday's plan to learn about photoshop and photo enhancement. At this point we have a lot of the necessary photos to start our campaign so now we really want to focus a lot on photo enhancement. Below are a few shots from the day before any enhancement.

  1. Ryan, it seems like your senior project has started very well. I like your ideas of driving around Cleveland and photographing things from different angles to capture interesting photos. Hopefully you can meet with your sponsor soon, but it seems like you and Stephen have taken it upon yourselves to propel your project forward by traveling to see land mark parts of Cleveland like the West Side Market and the zoo. Keep up your good work, I can’t wait to see how your project turns out.

  2. Ryan, the photo enhancements are really interesting -- the one with the lions is so impressive -- quite a contrast. Can't wait to see the impact of the technique on your final product!
