Getting To Know The Teachers

It's been really interesting so far taking class from a different teacher every day.  Certain teachers have similar styles while others have a uniqueness to their class.  It's very possible to take a class one day and be totally in sync with the sequence of the poses, the spiritual advice from the teacher and the music.  On the other hand, you could take that same exact class a few days or a week later and have a much different experience because of where you were at mentally and physically that specific day.  Maybe you had a lot of extra energy to burn off, and the class ended up being slower and more restorative than you'd hoped, or a teacher called out your least favorite pose and had you hold it for 15 breaths.  A lot of the teachers like to say that you are a different person every time you step on your mat and i'm slowly realizing how true this is.  I like that the studio lets us try out every class once or twice to determine which style of teaching suits us best so that we can personalize our own practice.
