We watched two more videos on turkey hunting over the past two days. We learned more good information about what to do while turkey hunting. The movies took us through each step of the hunt from setting it up to locating a turkey and even choosing a good spot to set up to hunt. We also began shooting the bow. Initially we were having trouble sighting in the bow, but we have been able to dial it in to be pretty accurate at 20 yards. The scope on the crossbow is set up with three vertical dots so that you can shoot accurately from ten, twenty and thirty yards. These ten-yard increments that the scope has will be very helpful for us, as we will not know how close the turkey will be when we are in the field. Even with this sight we don’t plan on shooting a turkey that is more than twenty yards away from us. Zack suffered the first injury of the project as he had his face too close to the scope on the crossbow and when he fired the scope hit his face ad gave him a small cut between his eyebrows. Other than Zack’s small cut the only other unfortunate thing that has happened is that we lost one of our crossbow bolts while practicing. So I would say our project has been going very well so far.
