Photography Day 8

The 8th day of our dive into photography was spent in Chagrin Falls. We chose Chagrin as a place to take pictures because it truly has every type of subject. It has a vast variety of buildings, shops, nature and people. We started the morning off by shooting from the cupola in the downtown square. There we captured magnificent shots of the buildings on the main street of Chagrin. We also captured many unseen subjects to the average viewer. For example, this image is the inside of the cupola
We then ventured down to the falls where we captured not only the nature that lies within Chagrin, but we captured the great gap between the rigid buildings and the flowing water of the falls. The shots were truly amazing, as two worlds seemed to merge so well together. The falls themselves provide an excellent subject, however with the buildings we were able to tell a story of growth and conquering of nature.

The next place we shot at was the corner of the popcorn shop. The Popcorn shop is an iconic image of Chagrin and we tried shooting it from almost every angle. Our favorite shot was from the closest street corner
The popcorn shop is elongated and enhanced at this angle by the interesting view of the signs. Lauren loved our angling on this shot and believed it was one of the best examples of our ability to frame an image in a unique way.
